Flower  and  Occassions

Flowers are presented as gift in a bevy of occasions like weddings, festivals, funerals and anniversaries. Every sentiment is expressed in one form or another by these fragile blooms. While flowers gifted on specific occasions depend mostly on the season in which the occasion falls, ultimately it is the personality of the recipient that should be the deciding factor in the choice of the flower gift.

Bunching onion stalks have a mild flavor compared to bulb onions.

Bunching onions (Allium cepa), or green onions, produce long, edible leaf stalks instead of bulbs. Most bunching onions grow from the same seed as regular bulbing onions, the difference is in planting and harvesting. Onion bulb lets, usually called sets, aren't true seeds; rather, they are small onion bulbs that can quickly produce bunching onions. Each set grows a single plant, but each plant produces multiple leaf stalks. Plant sets in spring after the last frost or in fall eight weeks before the first frost to grow bunching onions, because warm weather causes the plants to produce large bulbs.
